Kuwait
Studio Eivind was commissioned to design and project manage the first David Morris boutique in Kuwait, located in Salhia Mall. The brief was to evolve the language of the London flagship, reimagining it with layers of new energy for a younger audience.
Inspired by the 1930s villas of Northern Italy, the design blends classical architecture with modern industrial elements. Carpeted floors were replaced with custom marble and onyx geometric patterns, while showcases sit against murals woven with horsehair, silk, and pewter. Oversized sliding doors, cast from solid brass, add a sense of craftsmanship and permanence. The shopfront is clad in Nero Portoro marble, framing a single curved glass façade with a recessed entrance that welcomes visitors from the mall.
This opening marks David Morris’ first boutique in Kuwait and the brand’s first new location in over a decade. Delivered entirely during global lockdown, the project brought together a remote, international team—a proud milestone for Studio Eivind.
